"A good coach will make his players see what they can be rather than what they are."
       - Ara Parashegian

Dawn Marino-Smith, Senior Consultant for Turn 2 Consulting, knows first hand what it’s like to be a highly touted high school athlete making the transition to NCAA Division I student-athlete. A standout softball player at Middletown South High School in Middletown, NJ, Dawn was one of the few student-athletes to be named to All Shore, All County and All State softball teams. She was a four-year starter in the NCAA Division I softball program at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ, where she was named Northeast Conference Player of the Year and earned Northeast Conference First Team All Conference honors. Many of the records Dawn set during her illustrious softball career at Monmouth University still stand today.

"It is not the will to win that matters -everyone has that. It’s the will to prepare to win that matters."

- Paul "Bear" Bryant

It was during her tenure at Monmouth University that Dawn met Patti Adorna. Dawn earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and an Associate degree in Applied Science in Physical Therapy from Union County College. She also holds certifications from the International Weightlifters Association and the American Fitness Professionals and Associates.
